Josh Perry founded JP Trucking & Excavating LLC in 2005 with a single truck working out of his parents’ house. The business quickly grew with the company purchasing their first piece of equipment. In 2007 our first employee came on board.

We now have 6 full time and 2 part time employees plus a full-time mechanic.  We specialize in trucking and excavation, such as building lots, ponds, road reconstruction, culvert replacement, driveway repair / reconstruction, small building demo, septic and water line repair.

We also have a fully operational gravel pit with screened, natural and crushed material.

Sons Inc.

Hodgkins & Sons, Inc is a family-owned business that was established in 1956 by Alwyn Hodgkins as A. R. Hodgkins with a Bucyrus Erie Shovel and a Bulldozer. Later that year, when his son Ralph returned from the service, he joined his father. At that time the business name changed to A.R. Hodgkins and Son. In 1959, Reginald, another of Alwyn's sons, joined the forces after his stint in the services which now changed the name to A. R. Hodgkins and Sons. The company continued growing for several years in the construction business. In 1969 Alwyn passed away, leaving the company to Reginald and Ralph. In 1972 the company incorporated to its present name and status Hodgkins & Sons, Inc. Ralph and Reginald were sole owners at that time until their retirement in 1998. Gloria and Theresa (Ralph and Reginald’s wives) handled all the day to day office duties until their retirements. In 1999, their sons John, Roger and Russell purchased the business from their fathers with Russell leaving the company in 2017 leaving John and Roger running the company to this day.
